Old Mother Hubbard
went to the cupboard
To get her poor self a snack
But when she was there
the cupboard was bare
And so her poor self had none.

She went and planted a garden
So she could entertain at a luncheon.

She went and learned to make pickles and jellies
This put a bulge in her belly.

And when she came back
